Setting the Stage at Palace House

28th September 2017

In continuing their support for the Newmarket Community, The Newmarket Festival have agreed to sponsor the construction of a viewing platform for Palace House’s state of the art horse walker. The contribution of £5,000 will enable The Racing Museum to construct a viewing platform to enable visitors to gain a real insight into the workings of a mechanical horse walker. The sponsorship will also allow the Festival to raise its profile to visitors from both within the town and those from further afield.

Christopher Tregoning, Museum Trustee and Honorary Treasurer, said, “Everyone at the Racing Museum is absolutely thrilled about the Newmarket Festival Committee’s wonderful donation. We couldn’t be more grateful for this marvellously generous support.”

Mark Edmondson, Chairman of The Newmarket Festival added, “The museum is a fantastic contribution to the heritage of British Horseracing and we are only too delighted to be able to assist with enhancing its offering to visitors.”
